Anthony Gagliardi WINS Forrest Wood Cup
T-H Marine was in a celebratory mode on Monday, one day after long-time T-H Marine Pro Staffer Anthony Gagliardiclaimed the 2014 Forrest Wood Cup title. Gagliardi came to the stage at the Colonial Life Arena in Columbia, South Carolina knowing that he was close, but just not exactly sure what weight he would need to take home the trophy. What ensued was one of the most entertaining weigh ins to take place in the history of the sport.
Gagliardi wound up being victorious over Alabama pro Scott Canterbury by a single ounce - the smallest margin possible in the sport. A one ounce defeat had to have been heartbreaking for Canterbury, but he has showed tremendous class in congratulating Gagliardi both on stage and in social media over the past several days.
While Gagliardi was out winning the tournament on Sunday, the T-H Marine Team manning the product booth inside the Forrest Wood Cup expo were floored by the crowds coming through checking out the various good on display from hundreds of vendors. Many vendors said that this was their most successful expo of the year, which is impressive considering a majority of the people in these booths spend most of their time traveling the country working similar events. It was certainly a great turnout and showed how much this area of the country cares about the fishing industry.
2014 has been one of the most exciting years on record for FLW, and 2015 looks to bring even more great ways to connect with the sport in a fun and interactive way. We at T-H Marine are excited to be involved with such a great company, and we look forward to many more years of exciting tournament action still to come.
