Social Media Specialist

Role Overview: Social Media Specialist will oversee T-H Marine’s interaction with the public through implementing content strategies on social media platforms. Their duties include analyzing engagement data, identifying trends in customer interactions and planning digital campaigns to build community online.

The Social Media Manager’s job focuses on increasing brand awareness through the effective use of social media outlets. A Social Media Manager is tasked with several key duties, such as those listed below.

Primary Job Functions

  • Using social media marketing and tools to create and maintain the company’s brand on the following (but not limited to); Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, Pinterest
  • Work cross-functionally with eCommerce, Marketing, and Creative teams on ways to execute overarching strategy for social media that will include brand building, messaging, social creative and SEO for search to deliver content for new launches and seasonal animations
  • Interact with customers via social media
  • Analyzing the company’s social media strategy and identifying strategic weakness and making recommendations for improvements
  • Researching social media trends and informing management of changes that are relevant to the company’s marketing goals
  • Consistent and relevant posting on channels each week
  • Craft engaging content that aligns with marketing strategy


  • 3-5 years of experience
  • Knowledgeable and well versed in the marine industry
  • Ability to maintain and build a brand by identifying posting content that engages company’s target market
  • Great verbal and written communication skills. Must interact well with senior management, writers, and designers
  • Multitasker by nature who can manage multiple processes with a high level of quality and consistency.
  • Computer skills using and analyzing social media platforms
  • Basic editing skills in Photoshop, Adobe, etc.
  • Skills in learning social media trends, identifying new social media tools, and understanding the company’s online presence to effectively handle social media marketing.
  • Ability to organize tasks to meet deadlines and scheduling out content weeks in advance on ‘Sprout Social’
  • An understanding of the worldwide marketplace and cultural nuances as it relates to social media content
