Quality Control Specialist

Description: 

T-H Marine Supplies is looking for a Quality Control Specialist to join our team. This role will have all but not limited to the following responsibilities: Planning, developing, implementing quality systems to ensure that plant parts meet or exceed customer expectations. Investigating, analyzing, containing, and correcting quality problems related to final customer products. Performing audits and implementation of new strategies to improve the condition of plant quality.

With nearly 50 years in business, T-H Marine has grown to be one of the largest manufacturers of boating and fishing accessories in the United States. In addition to providing parts to virtually every boat manufacturer in the country, T-H Marine distributes them through every major distributor and retailer of boating and fishing products. Our products can be found in retail outlets throughout the world.

Responsibilities: 

  • Coordinate each phase of the quality control/assurance activities of new and existing products to ensure quality, schedules, and time frames meet customer requirements
  • Work with the Production department to initiate effective containment, investigation, and countermeasure activities to prevent further outflow of non-conforming products to the customer
  • Manage and maintain quality assurance documents including inspection standards, Manufacturing Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), First Article Inspection Report (FAI), etc
  • Support and assist with planning, development, and implementation of quality systems and activities with Engineering to ensure parts meet or exceed plant and customer expectations
  • Initiate, prepare, and present plans for quality improvements and train required team members
  • Complete miscellaneous reporting, administrative, and other quality related functions for the Quality Control department as required including QC Circle participation, Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting
