Designer Series Hatches Replacement Latches Installation:

• Inspect the latch and hatch opening
  • Make sure the replacement latch matches the hatch opening and orientation before installing.
• Position the latch in the opening
  • Place the new latch into the existing latch cutout from the top side of the hatch lid.
• Seat the latch body
  • Press the latch body down into the molded recess until it sits properly in place.
• Raise the latch handle
  • Lift the handle to expose the internal mechanism and access area.
• Use a small flathead screwdriver or pick
  • Insert the tool into the side/internal opening of the latch mechanism.
• Engage the internal retaining piece
  • Carefully guide or press the internal retaining clip/pin into position so the latch locks into the hatch.
• Secure and test the latch
  • Adjust the internal retaining piece as needed, press the latch fully into place so it sits flush, then open and close it several times to confirm smooth operation and proper engagement.
