These super-strong molded clamshells are an economical and attractive alternative for metal clamshells. These clam shells are great for routing cables or wires through a hole or for covering thru-hull openings to shield water spray. They are also useful for covering small vent holes for ventilation. These vents are UV and weather resistant. Available in two popular sizes.

Clamshell for wiring

Worked perfectly, even lines up with old hole great!!

replaced an old one

I got the wrong size the first time, because the dimensions were confusing and the part numbering system. Same undimensioned picture for both. Before they got back to me, I took a chance on the other ones, since there were only two, and go the right size. These have a countersunk hole design and are very thin to start with, so if they get overtightened from taking off and on, they tend to crack at the hole edge. Whomever rigged the boat put this in and so I had to match to not drill more holes (or buy a new console.)

They offered to pay the shipping, but could not refund on an order. So I got a set of big ones, I can't use, and twice the cost, but next to nothing. But I got them...
