So you can get to know us better, we like to share a profile of one of our team members every few weeks. After all, a company is only as good as its people! This week meet Stafford Booth, T-H Marine's Tech Support Specialist.
Stafford is a relatively new addition to the T-H Marine Team, joining first as a production team member before moving into his current position as primary tech support specialist. He has a vast knowledge of our parts as well as excellent customer service skills, making him an easy choice for the position.
When he's not in the office he can be found at major B.A.S.S. Elite and Walmart FLW Tour stops as a T-H Marine and ATLAS™ Jack Plate technician, a position he began at the beginning of 2014 with the help of part-time (and long-time) T-H Marine technician and Fishing University host Ray Brazier. "Working with Ray has been such a blessing, he's the one of most knowledgeable people in the industry when it comes to repair and maintenance of any kind. I've learned so much from him in such a short amount of time, he's certainly my most valuable resource," says Stafford.
Another great resource Stafford has in the field are the fantastic service crews from other companies. They're like a big family that follows the top tours around to provide immediate service if a pro has an issue with their boat, and they all stick together and help one another out. The other crews are always around to lend a hand or a spare tool, the type of support that makes this job much easier than going at it alone.
Handling customer tech calls has certainly been an adjustment, but one that Stafford has made seamlessly over the past year. "I really enjoy taking calls from and helping customers who are having a problem. If I can talk a person through an issue and it keeps them from having to take their boat into the shop, then I've done my job," says Stafford. "My number one goal is to get people back on the water as soon as possible," he continued.
